Client equity rose to $870.9billion at the end of April, up 48% year-on-year and 10% from the prior month.Margin loan balances reached $91.3 billion, increasing 57% compared tolast year, indicating higher use of leverage. Client credit balances stood at$175.6 billion, also rising on an annual basis. The number of client accounts climbed to 4.859 million, up 31% from ayear earlier. The average commission per cleared order was $2.70, includingexchange and regulatory fees.On execution costs, the company said IBKR PRO clients’ total cost oftrading U.S. stocks was “about 2.4 basis points of trade money,” based on aVWAP benchmark.InteractiveBrokers Expands Crypto Trading AccessBeyond its core brokerage activity, the firm has been expanding intodigital assets alongside traditional markets over recent years.It has introduced crypto trading through earlier integrations, includingpartnerships such as Paxos and rollouts in the UK.In its latest step, the firm now allows eligible retail investors in theEuropean Economic Area to tradecrypto assets through Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited.The platform supports 11 crypto-assets alongside equities, options,futures, currencies, bonds, and mutual funds. Clientscan also transfer existing cryptocurrency holdings into linked accounts,enabling trading without prior liquidation.
