Shocking Difference -Aggressive Entries and Pullback setups Euro vs US DollarFUSIONMARKETS:EURUSDDavid_PerkThere was a time when I thought the moment I see a clean order block after manipulation, I have to be in. No hesitation. No waiting. Just execute. And it works. But many times, I was entering too early, sitting through unnecessary drawdown, or killing my risk to reward before the trade even had a chance to breathe. That’s when I started to slow things down and look deeper into what actually happens after CLS manipulation.Because the move itself is not the edge. The positioning is. Understanding what happens after CLS manipulation Once the manipulation is done and price closes back inside the range, we usually get that shift in order flow. That’s where I used to get aggressive. I saw the confirmation, t order block, and jump in. But when journaling I realized that usually my trades pullbacks a bit and that could be even better opporunity. Today , I ll show you how I improved my setups. Order block Inside many of these order blocks, there is inefficiency. A gap. Fair value gap. And very often, that gap sits right inside the structure that created the move. So instead of entering at the first touch or immediately after confirmation, there is another option. Wait for price to retrace into that gap. That one small adjustment changes everything. 🧪Example 1 USDCHF Short This trade was taken recently and we can se the difference if traded right after the order block or waiting for a pullback to the gap. Same trade ideas but huge difference in the profit. Aggressive entry 1.7 RR. Gap entry 2.6 RR. Thats a lot. 🧪Example 2 GBPUSD Long This trade was take recently and lets have a look to the differences when taking an Aggressive entry right after the order block is created. We can see the RR is not so attractive, but still its profitable model 1 with TP at 50% Now lets have a look how it would looks like if we wait for pullback to the gap. Thats a 3 times better risk reward on the same trade only executed differently 🧪 Example 3 EURUSD Long where I entered right after the order block confirmation Now lets have a look how it would be if I entered from the Gap re-test much better right? 🫟Aggressive Entries Yes everything has cost. With first type entries SL is usually wider relative to your entry. Your entry is not optimized. And very often, you sit through drawdown before the move starts. Psychologically, this is where you could start doubting the trade, even if the idea was correct. 🫟Gap Entries Same setup. Same manipulation. Same order block. But instead of jumping in, you wait. You Now your entry is sharper. Your stop can be tighter. And your risk to reward improves significantly. This is where the trade starts to feel different. You are not chasing the move. You are letting the market come to you. ⁉️ But again, there’s a trade-off. Even though the second option sounds better with better risk rewards sometimes price doesn’t come back. It just moves. Clean. Fast. Without you. For example on this trade if I wanted to wait for the pullback, it would go without me. What to do? Answer is simple - Backtesting. Thats my plan for this month. Review my journal and check last 300 trades and find out what would be statistical difference. If it worth to always wait for the pullback or just continue with aggressive entries. 🎯 End exits ? its always fixed with the Strategy. I been trying to extend the Targets to improve against. But every time CLS range 50% or Full range is reached it starts pullbacks. Hence Im always out as per plan. Better than watching the money floating back to the markets. Hope this inspire you for improving your trade setups David PErk
