A Waukesha County, Wisconsin woman is behind bars, charged with murder after she says her boyfriend tried to cook her dinner in his air fryer when she wanted to go to a restaurant instead. According to a criminal complaint viewed by several news outlets, the argument began on April 22 when Lukas Rosch, 25, arrived with chicken and seasonings, intending to prepare a meal using an air fryer rather than take his girlfriend, Mikayla Kloth, out for the evening. Kloth allegedly stabbed Rosch once in the chest during the confrontation. Responding officers found Rosch suffering from a critical wound, and he was transported to a hospital where he died less than an hour later. Investigators say Kloth admitted to the stabbing and made several incriminating statements following her arrest. According to reports, she called 911 after the incident and attempted aid, but acknowledged her role in the attack. According to local news outlet WISN, Kloth’s said she should have “just gone to the bar, and the whole thing was just irritating,” her criminal complaint states. She also told police, “‘I stabbed him. If you have to take me to jail, OK.’” The victim, Lukas Rosch, was described by family members as a caring son, brother and uncle. Relatives said they are “completely broken” by his death, which they characterized as sudden and senseless. In a statement to WISN, Rosch’s family called him, “the most loving, giving, kind-hearted person anyone could ever meet,” Court records indicate the couple had been in a relationship for several years. There were also signs of prior tension. A landlord reportedly told investigators about a previous incident in which Rosch expressed concern for his safety after an alleged altercation with Kloth.
