If you want flexible gig hours, you work at gig rates. Being part of a union or having seniority might help you negotiate a 4-day schedule, but this guy seems to think he can just demand it as a new employer, ignoring that the job market is shit and a more available, less demanding candidate is waiting in the wings as a better option than him.
