The first survey of Malta’s 2026 General Election campaign has dropped, and it places Robert Abela comfortably ahead in the race for preferred Prime Minister.Done by Sagalytics, respondents were asked: “Which political leader would you prefer as Prime Minister of Malta?”After applying what was described as a scientific model to those who did not respond, the final results showed:45.6% prefer Robert Abela32.0% prefer Alex Borg3.7% prefer others8.0% prefer no one10.7% are still undecidedThat gives Abela a 13.6% lead over Borg in the headline result.
