As you may have noticed if you are a Samsung TV user, the company began expanding the 2025 One UI Tizen update to more 2023 TV models earlier this week. We haven't spotted any technical issues with the new firmware yet, but some bugs may have slipped through the cracks. It's only a theory, but it stems from the fact that Samsung quickly began rolling out another, much smaller firmware update on these TVs.Earlier this week, the big One UI Tizen 9 update for 2023 models pushed the firmware version to 2211. Now, this recent, smaller update comes in with software version 2220.4.There was no changelog attached, and we haven't noticed anything different yet. Therefore, it is likely that the 2220.4 update was a patch for potential issues that may have gone unnoticed by Samsung in the initial Tizen 9 release. If you are experiencing problems with the recent One UI Tizen 9 software, you may want to check if this smaller update is available for your TV. It may address those issues. There's no other information at this point, but we'll keep you posted if something crops up.Until then, you can check for new firmware updates on your Samsung TV by pressing the settings button on the remote and then navigating to All Settings > Support > Software update > Update now.Of course, if you are using a newer Samsung TV after 2023, none of this might apply to you, and your TV likely has a different software number to begin with.
