Sometimes it's easier to call for a large item donation to a thrift store that has trucks. I've found that listing something for cheap is easier, however people can still be absolutely ridiculous. FB seems to be worse than Craigslist or Nextdoor. And of course, the old standby, sign that says free, and leaving an item on the curb. Of course it's harder to do if you have to move something solo, especially from three flights up.
