Local SP leaders, however, are uncertain about their contribution to the contest. The SP’s Bihar unit has not appointed a president since 2017. The names of other office-bearers such as general secretary, vice-president, secretary and spokespersons have never been formally announced, said sources. Also, no organisational meeting of Akhilesh has been scheduled during his two-day tour of Bihar.Extended OutreachAfter the completion of its three-day programme in the Capital, the RSS has planned a similar outreach in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata. Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a part of the 18-members group, was in his hometown Bhopal at that time. His office is learnt to have requested for a videoconferencing link so the minister could join online, but the request was turned down.
