The Suchitwa Mission will organise a ‘Suchitwa Pookkalam’ contest from September 1 to 7.The contest is being organised as part of programmes being held with the theme of a green Onam this year.For the contest, contestants will have to prepare pookkalams with the theme of ‘Malinya Muktham Nava Keralam.’District-level winners of the contest will get ₹10,000, while one person winning at the State-level will get ₹25,000.Arts and sports clubs, residents’ associations, educational institutions, and Haritha Karma Sena units can take part in the contest.Only natural flowers and leaves should be used for the pookkalam contest.For details, visit the Suchitwa Mission website and social media pages.Published - August 30, 2025 11:18 pm IST
