I created a website that maps all upcoming public holidays and real-time transport disruptions to help you see what might delay your shipments.

Hi everyone, I built this website, Alarms.Global, because of a problem I faced constantly when I worked in logistics: trying to figure out what was delaying shipments. Information on upcoming regional holidays or local transport strikes was scattered all over the place. My goal was to create a single, simple place to see all of these potential disruptions at a glance. What the site does: Flags Upcoming Holidays: It shows you near-term public holidays that will impact business operations, customs, and ports. Tracks Live Disruptions: It aggregates real-time data on events like strikes, port congestion, and major weather events. It also supports 14 languages and can send push notifications for critical alerts. For anyone interested in the tech, it's built with F#/.NET on the backend, Qdrant for vector search, and MapTiler for the map UI. It's free to use and still a work in progress, so I'd love to hear any feedback or ideas you have! submitted by /u/ReverseBlade [link] [comments]
