The Indian non-profit 'Educate Girls' has been awarded the 2025 Ramon Magsaysay Award for its dedication to educating out-of-school girls in remote villages. Safeena Husain founded the organization in 2007, focusing on addressing cultural stereotypes and empowering girls through education. Shaahina Ali from the Maldives and Flaviano Antonio L Villanueva from the Philippines are also among the awardees.
