Teyana Taylor revealed that a recent court order requiring her to pay her ex-husband and Dancing With The Stars alum, Iman Shumpert, a substantial amount of money – but it was a price she willingly paid for her own peace of mind. The singer told The Breakfast Club that she was ordered to pay $70,000 for violating the terms of their divorce agreement. The court’s decision was a result of Taylor publicly disclosing details about their divorce judgment, which was in direct violation of a sealed agreement the former couple had in place. Taylor said, “To punish me because of my accolades is insane. However, if it’s gonna give me my peace and we can be done with this for good, I sent that wire so fast. I sent that wire so f–king fast. That was the best lil coin I ever spent in my life because I never have to deal with this again.” The legal action started because of a video Taylor shared on Instagram in March, where she addressed rumors about their split. She stated that he would use social media to provoke her, knowing her preference for privacy.
