Despite officers instructing her several times to turn around, she continues crying. “No sir, sorry. Please,” she says while her hands are folded.As the video continues, the woman asks the officers what will happen to her after she is handcuffed. One officer explains that she will be taken to the station, processed, and released within a few hours. The woman, still crying, asks if she can call her husband, but the officers deny her request.The video was reportedly posted on Facebook a few days ago but has since been taken down. She was handcuffed and taken to the police station.Following the incident, the US embassy in India issued a visa advisory warning that offenses such as “assault, theft, or burglary” in the United States could result in the immediate revocation of a visa.A similar incident occurred in September, where a Gujarati woman was caught leaving a Target store in the US with a cart full of unpaid-for items. The woman was seen sobbing and gasping for breath as officers questioned her.
