Four Days Out, Disney World Cancels Popular Christmas Celebration

Wait 5 sec.

With just four days until the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event of 2025, Walt Disney World Resort has made a heartbreaking announcement for Magic Kingdom Park guests. The news came long after the first party night sold out, as well as every November date.Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is an annual hard-ticketed event at Magic Kingdom Park. The party includes complimentary hot cocoa, cookies, and other holiday treats served throughout the park, themed entertainment, and festive character meet-and-greets. Of course, exclusive merchandise, food, and beverage items are available for purchase. Even though the festivities don’t start until 7:00 p.m., guests can enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m. for three extra hours of fun. The event ends at midnight.Credit: Rob Bixby, FlickrSadly, guests attending the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on November 7 won’t get to experience one of the longstanding event traditions. On Monday, the Central Florida Disney park released the performance schedule for “Frozen Holiday Surprise,” a dazzling nightly spectacle on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle. Unlike Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, the Frozen (2013) show isn’t exclusive to the after-hours event; it also performs at Magic Kingdom Park on non-party nights. In 2024, Frozen Holiday Surprise returned to Magic Kingdom Park on November 5, three days before the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event. However, according to Walt Disney World Resort‘s website, the show won’t debut this year until November 10, three days after the first after-hours party on November 7.Credit: DisneyFrozen Holiday Surprise performs twice most nights, at 6:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. However, some evenings, it only performs once — for example, November 29 has only one show scheduled at 6:15 p.m.Walt Disney World Resort typically offers the show at least once nightly through December 31. As of now, the official webpage only lists performances through November 29. Magic Kingdom Park guests should check the official website or the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date showtimes and performance schedules before their visit.Have you ever attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Walt Disney World Resort?
