A domestic dispute in Missouri turned grisly when a man allegedly targeted a woman’s freshlyy inked tattoo during a fight over mac and chesse, according to official police documents cited in several news reports. Police arrested Steven Wolfe, 25, after he allegedly attacked a housemate who had prepared the delicious pasta dish for the household. The incident reportedly took place just before 6 p.m. on March 30, when Rolla Police Department officers in Rolla, MO. Dispatch sent officers to a residence on October Place responding to reports of an assault. The caller was reportedly an employee living at the home who said another resident had been attacked. According to the probable cause statement obtained by Law & Crime and reported by other outlets, Wolfe and the victim were together at the home when the woman prepared dinner for Wolfe and another housemate. When she tried to explain this, the situation turned physical. The charging documents describe Wolfe pinning the woman against a wall and grabbing her by the throat. The victim had reportedly received a fresh tattoo on her neck just five days prior. Wolfe allegedly grabbed the area with the tattoo and ripped the skin away, inflicting a bloody, three-inch-long wound where her tattoo had been. Responding officers found the victim conscious and alert, but with a severe neck injury and blood staining her clothing. According to investigators, Wolfe also left scratch marks on the victim’s back and damaged her cellphone during the attack. After the woman broke free, she escaped the room, and Wolfe reportedly sat back down at the kitchen table and began playing on his tablet. No additional motives such as intoxication, financial disputes, or prior domestic violence history have been confirmed publicly by law enforcement at this time. Wolfe’s legal status After the attack, Wolfe was taken into custody and charged with first‑degree assault causing serious physical injury, a felony under Missouri state law. Law enforcement officials said he is being held at the Phelps County Jail without bond. A judge later set bond at $250,000. In addition to First Degree Assault, Wolfe was also charged with Armed Criminal Action, the “arm” in this case being his hands/fingers used as dangerous instruments to cause disfigurement. Court records indicate Wolfe was scheduled to appear in court on April 6 for his next hearing. Prosecutors have not publicly announced whether they intend to pursue additional charges or enhancements. The victim’s name has not been released, and no official updates regarding her medical condition have been published beyond the initial police response.
