IS THE CRUDE OIL MARKET ABOUT TO TOP?Crude Oil Futures (May 2026)NYMEX:CLK2026The25YearTraderBullish- Not really anymore because with Stocks Rallying and US Dollar falling it seems like we are now back to risk on mode. Unless the peace talks don't hold up it looks like the line in the sand is 91.00 if it can get daily close below 91 then I think it's a straight shot down to 50% retracement at 84.00. However if war continues to escalate and we get daily close above resistance at 113 then that means imo the uptrend will continue and it is a buy on pullbacks. Bearish- seems like it more now that fear and volatility is leaving the market. From what I understand and read for months that analysts feel that we are in a global supply glut if not for this war scenario. That means if the war fears subside then the cure for higher prices should be these higher prices and we should see the market top rather quickly. But again it of course all depends on what happens in middle east at least for now. Commitment of Traders- COT Report is showing them long at 200,000 contracts which is bullish so lets see what happens tommmorow after market close to get the report of what they did. Although they are long for now if they start to close some of those contracts market could fall quickly. But if they increase the longs this week then market could continue to strengthen. It's pretty much watch and see at this point and time to play the waiting game. Good Luck & Always use Risk Management!
