VIX TECHNICAL POSITION: TRENDING LOWERCBOE Volatility IndexCBOE_DLY:VIXPrinciplesofmathprobI’ve been tracking the VIX and its uptrend structure for a while now, and I had mentioned that breaking below the lower parallel would signal a trend reversal. That has now happened, and it’s currently moving lower, in line with the new downtrend structure. On the other hand, the potential resistance level I had marked on the Nasdaq, the structure that was driving it downward, was broken to the upside with a gap. In my view there's a high probability that the indices will reach a new all-time high. Until the black trendline is broken to the upside, I believe the VIX will continue to move lower.
