‘Demands cult-like worship’: Marjorie Taylor Green is done with Trump’s GOP and has decided that scorched earth is the only way forward

Wait 5 sec.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has declared that the Republican Party needs to be “burned to the ground,” in a recent interview with Alex Jones, the founder and host of Infowars. This isn’t just a casual remark; it signals a pretty dramatic shift in the political landscape, especially coming from someone who was once one of President Trump’s most vocal allies.  Greene, who previously served as a Republican representative for Georgia, asserted that the GOP is “completely controlled.” According to Newsweek, she specifically pointed out that “much of Congress is controlled by AIPAC and Zionists,” which she labeled a “serious problem.”  Greene was a prominent supporter of Trump until their public falling out. It severed her ties within the Republican base and led to her resignation from Congress. During her interview with Jones, she articulated this change, saying, “You may have supported President Trump for 10 years, like I did…but this is not the same man.” She urged the public to “open their eyes and deal with reality and deal with truth. This is not the same man that we supported.” Well, the man is a very accomplished liar She went on to describe the current political environment around Trump as having morphed into a “cult.” Greene stated, “You don’t have to be in a cult…It’s turned into a cult where the Trump administration, the president himself, and everyone around him, demands cult-like worship.”  She believes this dynamic means that “the American people don’t control your own government and those you elect. They’re controlled by donors that have one specific interest and that is Israel.” She was quick to clarify her stance, adding that she was referring to the “secular government of Israel, not Jewish people, so I don’t want to hear any of the antisemitism stuff, we’re over that.” WAKE UP AMERICA THE NAKED TRUTHBreaking Exclusive: MTG Tells Alex Jones It’s Time To “Burn The Republican Party To The Ground” Because The Majority Are Foreign Agents Working For Israelpic.twitter.com/zXQlGj86Dd— Ignorance, the root and stem of all evil (@ivan_8848) April 8, 2026 AIPAC, or the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, is an American pro-Israel lobbying group, and its role in U.S. politics is something they are quite open about. According to their own website, AIPAC brings together millions of U.S. citizens who dedicate their efforts and resources to ensuring the United States maintains a strong stance with Israel.  Their mission includes working to elect officials to Congress who support this partnership. AIPAC also closely monitors a wide array of issues that impact the relationship between the U.S. and Israel. Like providing research material and information to help decision-makers across Washington and the country. The goal, reinforce America’s moral values and strategic interests while promoting peace and stability as the only democracy in the Middle East. MTG is finally saying what half the base already knows. The GOP isn't a conservative party anymore, it's a rubber stamp for whatever Israel and the donor class want. Burn it down and start over.— Slop Spelunker (@slop_spelunker) April 9, 2026 Thus, one of their core lobbying efforts is securing full funding for America’s annual security assistance commitment to Israel, to address mounting threats. AIPAC also emphasizes that the United States and Israel face many common threats, including the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, the growth of state-sponsored terrorism, and the spread of Islamic radicalism.  Supporting security assistance to Israel, they believe, makes America more secure. It also brings peace, but only if America’s support for Israel is ironclad.  Marjorie Taylor Greene calls for GOP to be "burned to ground" https://t.co/pJxna1zjK0She said that "much of Congress is controlled by AIPAC and Zionists," noting this was a "serious problem." She, however, resigned rather than using her position as a check on Trump.— Benjamin Young Savage (ᐱᓐᒋᐱᓐ)  (@benjancewicz) April 9, 2026 Greene, however, remains deeply concerned about the potential for conflict escalation. She fears “we will see a nuclear bomb used on Iran,” which she called “probably the worst thing we could see in our lifetimes.” This concern underpins her criticism of Trump’s foreign policy.  She pointed out what she thinks is the biggest betrayal. “The biggest betrayal to the entire country is Trump said no more foreign wars. And he led us into this war. The United States and Israel together went into an unprovoked war in Iran. You save American troops lives by getting the hell out of the Middle East. We had no business there to begin with.”  You mean your right to funnel infinite money into races and influence American politics for Israel's benefit. Dismantle your organization.— Hamm (@MadKingTreesus) April 10, 2026 Looking ahead, Greene is advocating for a new approach to political funding. She added that “we should support candidates, and fight hard for candidates, that will not take money from AIPAC or AIPAC-adjacent donors.”  This really underscores her belief that financial influence from such groups is detrimental to American governance, and in a way, explains her new scorched-earth approach to resetting the party.
