continued .. Ben o keefe displays zero interest in using disgression to reason . I know this (first time) because he talked aloud and was deliberating live on air as he was making decision . I’ve watched many games of rugby but its only come to my attention now . I can’t recall a ref using discretion to manage a TMO brutal call (brutal calls include : yellow send off etc etc etc etc ) actually I think I remember Angus gardiner reason down foul play in an Argentina game… like you can hear him think and reason the nature of foul play , and the player stayed on the field as a result . …which actually generates a good conversation topic . which refs lay down to TMO. For me, the first time , I’ve laid down the hammer on Ben o Keefe - he lays down to the tmo . Great guy I’m sure and I love the Aussies. But in line with this topic , he lays down. - I get it . It’s a stressful gig and sometimes it’s more efficient to be absolute correct according to the law book . It’s incredibly stressful . I appreciate it What Do you guys reckon ? p.s chill out - I love the wallabies and george smith rocky elsom got me into wearing gloves without a helmet submitted by /u/Wizardhhh [link] [comments]
