Flight services to West Asia surge amid fragile ceasefire

Though the two-week ceasefire announced by the U.S. and Iran hung in the balance with Israel continuing to attack Lebanon, flight services from Kerala to West Asia have witnessed a surge after the announcement with 70% of the flights operating.For instance, the Thiruvananthapuram international airport handled over 30 flights to West Asian cities on Thursday alone. The airport used to handle over 40 flights a day to West Asia during normal periods. Flight operations from the Calicut international airport have also increased to around 30 flights.
