Hospice Malta will hold its annual 12-hour live fundraising telethon on Saturday 25th April, from 11am to 11pm.The event will bring together patients, families, healthcare professionals, artists, and the wider community to support Hospice Malta’s mission of providing free palliative care across Malta and Gozo. The demand for Hospice Malta’s services continues to rise. Last year, nearly 1,000 new patients sought support from the NGO—an average of three families every day. In 2025 alone, the organisation delivered 33,000 professional sessions at patients’ homes, alongside more than 4,000 social and psychosocial support sessions.Over 400 patients also benefited from the Day Therapy Unit and clinic programmes, which include psychology, physiotherapy, complementary therapy, social work, and group activities designed to promote social engagement and provide respite.Funds raised during the telethon will help expand Hospice Malta’s services, including community care and day therapy programmes, as well as the newly inaugurated St Michael Hospice headquarters. The facility features a 16-room In-Patient Unit, offering round-the-clock medical care, comfort, and dignity for patients at the end of life.
