On Thursday, Walt Disney World Resort announced a new third-party partnership that will bring several changes to the World Showcase experience at EPCOT. Disney is partnering with Air Canada for a new Quick-Service dining location and a private viewing of Luminous The Symphony of Us, the nighttime spectacular on the EPCOT World Showcase Lagoon.Canada World Showcase Pavilion Expands at EPCOTCredit: DisneyThe first announcement on April 9 solved a months-long mystery at EPCOT: the ongoing refurbishment and closure of Refreshment Port, a Quick-Service dining location near the Canada World Showcase Pavilion. For several months, the kiosk has been closed and blocked off by construction walls, with no word from Disney on when it will reopen.Finally, Disney Park guests can look forward to a new snack spot at EPCOT. On Thursday, Walt Disney World Resort announced it was partnering with Air Canada to expand the Canada World Showcase Pavilion into the former Refreshment Port, now called La Poutinerie. The reimagined food stand will be fully dedicated to Canadian cuisine and theming, but will likely retain some of the specialty poutine menu items it already served.Credit: DisneyWalt Disney World Resort has said that the Quick-Service dining location hosted by Air Canada will open soon, but has not shared an exact date.Exclusive Viewing of Luminous The Symphony of UsCredit: DisneyAir Canada is also partnering with EPCOT to offer an exclusive viewing area for Luminous The Symphony of Us, the fireworks show that lights up the World Showcase Lagoon. Walt Disney World Resort announced that Air Canada Aeroplan Members can now redeem 1,000 points for access to a private viewing area for the nighttime spectacular.The Air Canada viewing area is at the China Overlook, a spot along the World Showcase Lagoon near the China Pavilion. Viewing begins May 9, and Aeroplan Members must make a reservation for themselves and any guests in advance.
