We have done that for different things, both before and after Covid, but during the initial part and thru the height of the pandemic, it just wasn't an option. There were so many truly selfish people telling whatever lies would get them what they wanted, that all sorts of businesses had to put in strict policies and enforce them, even if they knew you had a very good and legitimate reason to need a lot of something like that.
