As part of Level-5 Vision 2026 Craftmanship stream, the company confirmed a new release window for Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. The new estimate suggests it will appear in late 2026. In addition to appearing on the Switch and Switch 2, PS5 and PC are confirmed. There is a new trailer that highlights what to expect, and it also involves opportunities to hear Joe Hisaishi’s score. However, it doesn’t feature the new theme song by Lilas. Level-5, in the past, already established this new entry is in an American town named Steam Bison and that Professor Layton is again solving puzzles alongside his established assistant Luke Triton. The new update also revealed the twins Elida and Elinora Allinston will play a large part in the story. QuizKnock is working on the puzzles, and there will be more in this entry than in past games. It will also be available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. The voice actors for many of the main characters were revealed in the new trailer.
