Kadokawa has confirmed that it is producing an all-new anime season for Date A Live. The company has also shared a new key visual of Tohka Yatogami in a bride's outfit.Multiple aspects in this reveal point towards a hint that this new season will be the last one in the series. While the titles for prior anime seasons simply featured the Date A Live title in Japanese katakana and English alphabet with Roman numerals, this new season will specifically have the title Date A Live F in Japanese and Date A Live: Last Date in English. The story synopsis also hints that this season will tell the final chapter of Shido and Tohka's story with the catchphrase "Let's start our final war (date)."The catchphrase could also serve as a reference to the last volume of the mainline Date A Live light novels. Kadokawa published the 22nd volume of the original light novel in March 2020 with the subtitle "Tohka Good End - Latter Part" and the catchphrase "Let's end our war."The official website for Date A Live: Last Date has also launched with full character artwork for Shido Itsuka and Tohka Yatogami, with Nobunaga Shimazaki and Marina Inoue also confirmed reprising their respective roles.
