Ironically, she and my Opa were married (in 1931) for over 50 years, until my Opa passed away in 1982. The whole family traveled to the Netherlands from several different continents to celebrate the anniversary; I was a kid and still remember that. So in her case, it kinda was forever. ♾️♥️
