This is it, right. I have a couple of hundred Insta followers, mostly from interesting folks I follow following me back. My profile is private, so it’s not ‘organic’ follows for my exciting content that’s for sure! So people whose follower count is a four- or even five-digit number is an ‘influencer’ the same way I’m an astronaut. Honestly, anyone whose follower count doesn’t need rounding to the nearest ten thousand, or realistically nearest hundred thousand? That’s a chancer who can, politely, do one.
