A price target of $85 was also established for the Company’s shares. Since the shares are currently trading around $72, this target price represents a possible upside of nearly 18%. That caused me to review the Company’s fundamentals further.I previously reviewed Kratos toward the end of 2025 and ultimately concluded with a Hold rating. At that time, I felt that the Company's latest quarterly report showed some strong performance; however, I believed that its valuation was already quite high, and I questioned whether the Company generated sufficient cash flow. Since that time, the Company's stock price has declined from approximately $76.23 to $71.96, a decline of almost 5.6%.At present, I believe that there is little difference in the overall narrative surrounding Kratos today versus what I viewed a few months ago. Today, I perceive Kratos as a company whose ability to grow going forward has been heightened relative to where we were a few months ago. Nevertheless, I still view the Company as being subject to significant execution risks. To clarify, the potential exists for growth, although the environment does not lend itself to building a large position based upon reasonable expectations. From a portfolio perspective, my analysis of Kratos will continue to reflect the same thinking as before. Therefore, if Kratos makes sense as a small speculative investment position, I may choose to invest a small amount of money into it (as a controlled speculation). However, I am not prepared to build a larger position in the company, as it is characterized by excessive volatility. The Part That's Holding Me BackWhile revenue growth hasn’t been a problem (This article was written byAgar Capital4.12K FollowersI’m a Portfolio manager (flexible equity funds and private clients), fundamental equity research, macro and geopolitical strategy.Over 10 years across global markets, managing multi-asset strategies and equity portfolios at a European asset manager.I combine top-down macro, bottom-up stock selection and real-time positioning (Bloomberg, models, data).I focus on earnings, tech disruption, policy shifts and capital flows — to identify mispriced opportunities before the market. On Seeking Alpha I share high-conviction ideas, contrarian views and deep breakdowns of both growth and value names. For more insights: follow me on X @AgarCapitalAnalyst’s Disclosure: I/we have no stock, option or similar derivative position in any of the companies mentioned, but may initiate a beneficial Long position through a purchase of the stock, or the purchase of call options or similar derivatives in KTOS over the next 72 hours.
