Melania Trump has made a bombshell announcement, demanding that the “lies” being spread about her in connection with Jeffrey Epstein must end. She also called on Congress to allow open testimony from the Epstein victims. Her public declaration marks a significant moment, considering the current state of the investigation into Epstein. According to The Daily Beast, Melania was firm about her involvement when speaking to reporters at the White House. “I have never had any knowledge of Epstein’s abuse of his victims,” she stated. “I was never involved in any capacity—I was not a participant, was never on Epstein’s plane, and never visited his private island.” Reading from a prepared statement, Melania acknowledged that she had attended the same parties as Epstein “from time to time,” as “overlapping in social circles is common.” She was also quick to deny legal connections: “I have never been legally accused or convicted of a crime in connection with Epstein’s sex trafficking, abuse of minors, and other repulsive behavior.” The timing of this particular statement seems interesting The first lady emphasized that “the false smears about me from mean-spirited and politically motivated individuals and entities looking to cause damage to my good name to gain financially and climb politically must stop.” Additionally, Melania specifically said that she “never had a relationship with the convicted sex offender or his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.” In the past, she has even refused to talk about Maxwell.
