Nintendo confirmed that its July 2026 game will be Rhythm Heaven Groove, sharing its release date on social media. It will be on the Switch on July 2, 2026. There is also a new brief clip from the game that shows off a few moments from a new minigame called Slice N Dice. With Slice N Dice, we see a woman in an apron in a kitchen with a white cat by her side. As we hear humming, we press buttons to trigger her catching vegetables that are tossed at her from the right and left sides. Players will go through rhythm-based minigames, using simple controls. In many cases, they only involve one or two buttons or specific touchscreen controls. The last mainline entry appeared over 10 years ago, as Rhythm Heaven Megamix showed up on the 3DS in June 2015. The Rhythm Heaven Groove release date reveal also means almost every month up through July 2026 is covered for Nintendo game releases. The January 2026 release was Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch 2 Edition, followed by Mario Tennis Fever in February 2026.
