Ahead of Holocaust Remembrance Day 2026, approximately 111,000 Holocaust survivors and victims of antisemitic persecution are still living in Israel.According to data from the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics, 63% of the survivors are women and 37% are men. Many are of very advanced age: about 37% were born during World War II and are now aged 80-85, around 35% are aged 86-89, and the remaining approximately 28% are aged 90 and above.
