to strengthen cooperation between the legal and accounting sectors.Under the MoU, the ISCA and LawSoc will jointly roll out a digital learning platform aimed at legal professionals, offering on-demand modules that can be accessed remotely and fitted around work commitments.The platform is positioned as a cross-disciplinary tool. It will allow lawyers to build capabilities in areas such as accounting, finance and governance, while giving accountants access to content on legal concepts tied to risk, transactional work and advisory services.To extend the reach of the new platform, the two bodies are partnering with the NTUC LearningHub to arrange funding support for eligible members of the legal community.Continuing Professional Development courses are expected to be added to the NTUC LearningHub’s Learning eXperience Platform later this year.Planned funding options include SkillsFuture Credit and the Union Training Assistance Programme, with the aim of keeping upskilling programmes within reach of working professionals.The ISCA and LawSoc are also progressing talks on a proposed Professional Services Centre in Singapore, intended to serve investors and companies that seek to establish a presence or expand in the country.
