Disney has just announced fresh discounts for select guests. This year hasn’t exactly run smoothly for The Walt Disney Company. Its once-dependable theatrical slate is under pressure: the big-budget Snow White remake grossed only about $206 million worldwide, prompting Disney to pause its live-action Tangled remake, while entries from the Marvel Cinematic Universe have also disappointed. Simultaneously, its traditional broadcast networks saw revenue drop 15% compared to 2024.Credit: DisneyBehind the scenes, leadership and public relations missteps compounded difficulties. In response to Jimmy Kimmel’s remarks following the assassination of Charlie Kirk and public pressure from the Trump administration, Disney suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live!, triggering backlash, mass subscription cancellations, and scrutiny over political influence in corporate decisions. At the same time, attendance has also faltered at Walt Disney World, with crowd trackers showing September wait times at their lowest since 2021 — a signal that higher prices and rising competition are weighing heavily on the Orlando resort.Credit: DisneyDisney Drops More and More DiscountsMuch has been made of the growing discontent surrounding price increases at Disney’s destinations and experiences worldwide.
