NORWICH CITY have announced plans to expand Carrow Road, but will force thousands of fans to be relocated.The Canaries have been playing in the famous ground since 1935 and it currently holds a capacity of 27,244.Youtube @CanariesTVNorwich City are planning on redeveloping Carrow Road[/caption]A new fan zone will be builtYoutube @CanariesTVThe Norfolk club have now revealed planned work that will improve and expand the stadium.The plans will see improvements made to the ground, which includes a new fan zone behind the Barclay Stand.Planning permission has also been requested for changes in the South and Regency Security Stands.This will see new facilities added and a new segregated away entrance point.A club statement read: “From the start of the 2026/27 season, the club will introduce a new stadium map.“These changes will allow the club to better the matchday experience for all supporters attending games at Carrow Road, with the introduction of new and more bespoke offerings.“This will help us further improve the matchday experience for home supporters.”However, as the work takes plac,e season ticket holders in the Regency Security Stand and a section of the South Stand will be relocated.CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITSThe BBC have estimated that over 3,000 fans could be impacted by the work.Those who will be impacted have already been contacted, according to the club.
