Independent candidates have secured several key roles within the new Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU) Executive following this year’s student elections.Nick Muscat has been elected President with 1,346 votes, leading the council despite not being affiliated with any student organisation.Joining him on the Executive are Angelie Feroleto, elected Financial Officer with 1,309 votes, Matthias Zahra, who secured the role of Student and International Affairs Officer with 1,290 votes, and Francesca Anastasi, elected Culture and Entertainment Coordinator with 1,262 votes.The results mark a strong showing for independent candidates in executive roles, even as SDM retained its overall majority within the council.KSU plays a central role at the University of Malta, representing students across academic, social and administrative matters, with the Executive responsible for leading key areas affecting student life.•
