Blue Titanium & Midnight Bronze: Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp Exclusives

Chattanooga Shooting Supplies has announced two exclusive colorway variants of the Smith & Wesson Performance Center Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp, available through its authorized dealer network in limited quantities. The two new SKUs each pair a distinctively colored polymer frame with a Performance Center Gray Armornite slide. SKU SW14847 features a blue titanium frame, while SKU SW14846 goes with a midnight bronze frame. Both are otherwise identical to the standard Carry Comp configuration. "Our dealers and their customers are looking for more than just reliability - they want personal expression," said Melissa Dubiel, Vice President of Merchandising at Chattanooga Shooting Supplies. "These exclusive colorways deliver exactly that: premium performance with a distinctive edge." Let’s rewind the tape and take a look at the basics: The Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp itself is a Performance Center-tuned micro-compact chambered in .380 ACP, built around a 3.1-inch ported stainless steel barrel. Smith & Wesson's PowerPort system vents gas upward at the muzzle to reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise, which on a pistol this light at 11.8 ounces unloaded is a practical consideration, even if it “only” fires .380 ACP. The slide features lightening cuts, increased serration coverage, and the Performance Center Gray Armornite finish. Sights are Ameriglo Protector units with a LumiGreen tritium front and blacked-out rear. The pistol ships with both a 10-round flush-fit and a 12-round extended magazine, and is available with or without a manual thumb safety. Chattanooga’s limited S&W M&P Bodyguard 2.0 Midnight Bronze, with thumb safety. For a distributor exclusive, the color pairings here are more restrained than some of what the market has seen lately, which is not a bad thing (the way I see it). Both combinations work within the existing Performance Center Gray slide rather than clashing against it, and the midnight bronze in particular sits in a finish category that has proven popular across multiple handgun platforms over the past few years. And it still works well. The " Blue Titanium" M&P Bodyguard 2.0, with no thumb safety.
