Tyler Adams delivered an impact off the bench in AFC Bournemouth’s continued quest for a top-six finish. Adams assisted once in the Cherries’ 2-2 home draw with Leeds United on Wednesday, a result which moved Bournemouth seventh in the league table. The U.S. men’s national team midfielder made his third-consecutive substitute since returning from injury for the Cherries. After a goal-less first half, Junior Kroupi boosted Andoni Iraola’s men in front after 60 minutes but Leeds United would equalize eight minutes later thanks to James Hill’s own goal. Adams, who entered the match in the 73rd minute, looked to have delivered the game-winning assist to fellow substitute Rayan. The veteran midfielder’s cross from the right wing in the 85th minute was redirected home by Rayan for a 2-1 Bournemouth lead.It marked Adams’ second assist of the season. However, Daniel Farke’s Lilywhites would use a 97th minute tying goal from Sean Longstaff to split the points at the Vitality Stadium. Adams played 17 minutes in the match while fellow USMNT attacker Brenden Aaronson logged 84 minutes from the start. Bournemouth missed the opportunity to go into sixth place while Leeds United moved nine points clear of the relegation zone.
