Man, I really hope that is what happens. This guy annoys me on a level that shouldn’t be possible with a person I have never personally dealt with or interacted with. His whole grift is so pathetic it hurts. I live semi-off grid. I mean I’m posting to Reddit, so I don’t care how bushman I fancy myself to be. I’m not. However, where I am there are folks who really and I mean truly live off grid. For instance, there is one area where you actually have to cross a river (depending on season, precipitation, etc at the very least you need adequate ground clearance) to get to where some people live. There is no other road in or out. It’s not welcoming to outsiders, and they don’t take kindly to strangers. One of them had a fire, in the dead of winter, in -22* F weather. He climbed up in the rafters and pulled the ceiling down with his bare hands while his girlfriend kept running in containers of snow to throw into the roof access to try to contain the fire. We (my “neighbor” and I) brought him some corrugated metal sheets and some other supplies to help him rebuild and plug the hole in the interim. That guy is probably who this guy wishes he was. And that guy would never, ever in a million years shill for some Ai assisted bullshit magazine he grifts for on FB. Over the years I’ve lived here, those people who really live the life I don’t, tolerate me when I have need to be over there, because I respect their choices and I help where and when I can. I wouldn’t say I’m welcome though. The only folks really welcome are the ones that live there and walk the walk without saying a word. I’d love to send a few of them his way.
