So I go over every day, feed the cat, change the litter, spend like 20-30 minutes there. Day 3 she texts me asking if I can also water her plants. Sure, not a big deal. Day 5 - can I bring in her mail? Okay. Day 7 - "hey can u check if i left the curling iron on in the bathroom, i think i did, also can u wipe down the kitchen counter bc my cat knocks stuff over sometimes" I did all of it. No complaints. She gets back, seems happy, thanks me, gives me a hug. Cool. Two days later she knocks on my door and goes "so i noticed you didn't refill the cat's water fountain, i had to clean the whole filter when i got back, it gets gross when it runs low you know" I just kind of stood there. Like. I didn't even know there WAS a fountain, I was filling a regular bowl I saw on the floor the whole time. She never mentioned it. When I told her that she said "well it's pretty obvious, it's right next to the food bowl" Reader, it was behind a little decorative basket thing. I looked fo r it after she left and barely noticed it even when I knew it was there. Now she's been kind of cold to me in the hallway.
