Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s court has remanded a Rwandan national and two other men on allegations of stealing motorcycle spare parts valued at more than Shs 98.5 million. The accused; Kalyango Gonzaga, 33, a storekeeper and resident of Kitezi in Kasangati town council, Wakiso district; Robert Sseggawa, 37, a driver and Rwandan national residing in Mulago; and Deo Muwanika, 32, a loader from Kayunga, Wakiso appeared in court on charges of theft and conspiracy to commit a felony. The trio was not produced before the trial magistrate but appeared before Grade One Magistrate Rophine Achayo, who read out the charges to them. Court heard that between July 2025 and January 2026, the accused allegedly stole motorcycle spare parts from Shamba Complex in Nabugabo village, Kampala. The items, valued at Shs 98.5 million, are said to belong to Bosco Sserwadda. Prosecution further alleges that during the same period and at the same location, the accused conspired to commit a felony, specifically theft. The suspects denied both charges. Prosecution, led by senior state attorney Grace Amy, informed court that investigations are still ongoing.
