In the South American smartphone market, Samsung is the number one brand in terms of shipments. However, lately, the competition there is getting tougher, especially in the low-end and mid-range segments. To tackle that and keep its Galaxy A series phones more lucrative than others, the brand is planning to offer these devices with the Spotify Premium subscription for free.According to a report from ET News, Samsung has partnered with Spotify to offer its latest Galaxy A series smartphones, the Galaxy A57, Galaxy A37, Galaxy A17, and Galaxy A07 with a three-month Spotify Premium subscription at no additional cost. At the moment, there’s no information about which countries the South Korean tech giant plans to introduce this benefit in and when. This will do two things. First, it may attract more people to the Galaxy A series phones, helping Samsung sell more phones and get more revenue/profit, and maintain its competitiveness in the South American smartphone market. Second, when the free premium subscription ends, some people may start paying for the music streaming service, expanding Spotify’s user base and enhancing its revenue/profits. A win-win for both the brands.Of course, it will also benefit users, as they will be able to enjoy a paid music streaming subscription for free for three months. As for people who already have a Spotify Premium subscription, Samsung will offer them two months of Spotify Premium membership for free.
