Roderick Galdes has been barred from contesting the upcoming general election after a decision by the Labour Party executive, as reported by Times of Malta.The former housing minister was reportedly rejected following a secret ballot by the party’s 35-member executive on Monday evening, with the majority voting against his nomination.Galdes’ 13-year political career had already come under pressure earlier this year, when he resigned amid scrutiny over his personal and political dealings.
