Isaac stepped out of Mechaniacal’s tower onto the familiar pavement of Star City, breathing in the concrete-scented air and finding himself relaxing for the first time in weeks. Maybe since he’d robbed the armored truck. Shay emerged beside him, tapping the asphalt curiously with her claws and snuffling at the air as she looked upward at the vast blue of the sky. Sarah squinted at the sun and created a parasol to shade her before letting out a groan as she slumped against Astoria.“Guh. He took a glance back at the tower that had brought them home – he recognized the area, as the pit where Mechaniacal’s old base had been before it self-destructed – and then climbed up the wing-panels to settle into Shay’s saddle.
