During the 2.8 Zenless Zone Zero Special Program stream, HoYoVerse confirmed the PC version of the game will be headed to Steam in the near future. It has a Q2 2026 launch window, which could mean we’ll see it on the service around the launch of the 3.0 Season 3 update. That product page is open, and Steam Advance Testing will also be held. As for 2.8, we’ll see it and the new characters on May 6, 2026. In terms of the Steam version, we’ll only be able to switch over to it if our account is on the servers for America, Asia, Europe, or Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau. People with an account on another one can’t swap over to this one. The sign-up for the Steam Advance Testing is designed to check how it’s working. No data will be wiped, since you’ll be using your regular account, and you can still make purchases. Those who sign up by May 5, 2026 and are picked to participate will also be given 60 Polychromes and 30,000 Dennies if they log into the Steam version for five days total during that test. People need to log into their HoYoVerse account to apply at the official site. As for version 2.8, HoYoVerse went over what to expect from the new story, events, and characters after the patch arrives and we update. The Season 2 Epilogue quest called “New: Eridan Sunset (B)” quest will be added and involve Phaethon, Billy, Cissia, and Ramiel. Both Starlight Billy and Promeia will show up as S-rank Agents, with her appearing first after the update alongside a rerun for Lucia. He’ll appear halfway through the version with a Orphie & Magus rerun. A Miyabi costume called Dignified Blossom will be sold. There’ll also be a new A-Rank Bangboo called Booltergeist that we can earn via an Operation: Save Bootopia event.
