Primary Arms Adds H1/T1 Footprint to the SLx MicroPrism

Wait 5 sec.

Primary Arms Optics has released the SLx 1x MicroPrismT, an updated version of their popular 1x MicroPrism built around an H1/T1-compatible footprint. The practical upshot: it works out of the box with the wide range of aftermarket mounts and risers already in most shooters' collections. The footprint change is the headline feature, but Primary Arms has also introduced a new reticle option alongside it. The T-Dot is a red-illuminated design featuring a bright center dot with outlying stadia lines forming a T shape. It is also the first reticle in a Primary Arms prism scope to use their Red Dot Bright (RDB) illumination technology, designed for fast target acquisition without sacrificing the core advantages of a prism: an etched reticle that remains usable without battery power, and a clean sight picture for shooters with astigmatism. Note that the “Red Dot Bright” technology only applies to the T-Dot reticle (shown below). The MicroPrismT is available with all existing 1x MicroPrism reticle options as well, including ACSS Cyclops and ACSS Gemini (shown directly below) in red or green illumination. Everything else carries over from the original: the same compact form factor, generous eye box, and etched reticle. The package includes both a tall 2.26" riser and a low mount, giving buyers mounting flexibility straight out of the box. The MicroPrismT retails for $299.99 and is available now at primaryarms.com and through authorized dealers. I think the H1/T1 footprint removes a friction point that held some buyers back from the original version, and adding a prism optic to an existing red dot mount setup without buying new hardware is a meaningful convenience. The T-Dot reticle is a smart addition for shooters who want a simpler reticle than the ACSS options without losing the astigmatism correction benefit of a prism. Some more details can be found here: https://primaryarmsoptics.com/optics/prism-scopes/primary-arms-slx-1x-microprism-microdot-footprint/
