An earthquake of magnitude 3.9 occurred only 7 minutes ago 52 miles southwest of False Pass, Alaska, United States, the United States Geological Survey reported.The quake hit at an intermediate to considerable depth of 113 miles beneath the epicenter near False Pass, Aleutians East, Alaska, USA, early afternoon on Thursday, April 23rd, 2026, at 2:01 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.9 as well.
