Two children have been admitted to the Intensive Therapy Unit after suffering serious injuries earlier today.At around 2pm today, two children were taken to Mater Dei Hospital after being injured in an accident in the limits of Ħal Far.Preliminary investigations showed that a 26-year-old man from Isla was riding a motorcycle when, for some reason, he hit a 5-year-old boy who was riding a bicycle. A 3-year-old child was also a passenger on the motorcycle.The children were assisted by a medical team and transported to hospital by ambulance, where they were certified to have sustained serious injuries.Magistrate Dr Monica Borg Galea was immediately informed and opened an inquiry.Police investigations are still ongoing.•
