FuRyu announced that we’ll finally see the 3DS and Vita JRPG Exstetra worldwide, as the Studio Saizensen game will appear worldwide via a PC Steam release. This comes 13 years after its initial release. It will show up in Summer 2026, and the product page is already live with some initial screenshots. While there’s no price point set yet, an English localization is confirmed. Ryoma is a young man living in Amazea, a fusion of Tokyo and another world. Because of this, it will eventually end. However, it’s possible to fight back against that fate. Ryoma is the Prisma, which lets him absorb EXS from enemies and then give it to other people so they can also fight back. However, he needs to kiss them to turn them into Prisma Knights. Once someone is a Prisma Knight, they can fight alongside Ryoma in turn-based battles that also feature some positioning elements as both allies and enemies appear in different rows on the field. Their abilities in battle are determined by how you Enchanted weapons. Also, there are some relationship elements, as characters who are paired up will counterattack if the person they’re close to is attacked. Here are the first screenshots from the Exstetra PC remaster that show how the JRPG combat, story, and exploration elements will look. This also offers the first look at the English localization for the new FuRyu game. Images via FuRyu This is a positive move for preservation purposes. As both the 3DS and Vita digital storefronts are closed, it’s impossible to get a digital copy. Physical copies appeared for both versions in Japan, but the 3DS one would require a Japanese 3DS to play. The Exstetra remaster will come to the PC in Summer 2026, and the FuRyu JRPG originally appeared on the 3DS and Vita in Japan. The post Former 3DS and Vita JRPG Exstetra Headed to PC via Steam appeared first on Siliconera.
