Odisha experienced severe heatwave conditions on Saturday. Seventeen locations across the state recorded maximum temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius. Jharsuguda was the hottest at 44.1 degrees Celsius. Hot and humid weather is expected to continue in several districts. Thunderstorms are also forecast for some areas on Sunday.
