normalnormalnormalThe action intensified on day eight of the Gully Cricket Tournament being organised by the UT Cricket Association in collaboration with Chandigarh Police as the competition edged closer to the quarterfinal stage.Friday witnessed some outstanding individual performances, with as many as seven half-centuries being scored and one remarkable five-wicket haul recorded.At GMSSS-27, Dhruv Ghai of Team No. 88 delivered a match-winning performance. After his team posted a competitive total of 161 for 9 in their allotted overs, Dhruv led from the front with the ball. He dismantled Team No. 82’s batting line-up, claiming five wickets for just nine runs and bundling out the opposition for 87.The pre-quarter final stage of the tournament will continue till April 25.At GMSSS-8, Team No. 8 won by 4 wickets, while Team No. 11 clinched a Super Over win after a tie. Team No. 23 and Team No. 28 also registered convincing victories. At GMSSS-27, Team No. 74 recorded a massive 106-run win, while Teams 65, 88, and 93 also won comfortably.At GMSSS-32C, Teams 131, 142, 149, and 159 emerged victorious, with close contests witnessed. At GMSSS-44, Teams 193, 212, 220, and 202 secured wins.
